1994 LOS ANGELES REGION SEISMIC EXPERIMENT
MULTICHANNEL SEISMIC-REFLECTION PROFILING
OF THE
R/V MAURICE EWING
In October of 1994, as part of the Los Angeles Regional Seismic Experiment
(LARSE), seismic
reflection profiling of the greater Los Angeles area and the Inner California
Borderland was conducted aboard the R/V Maurice Ewing. The primary
seismic source along three main onshore-offshore lines was the R/V Ewing's
20-element air gun array and 160-channel digital streamer. These
air gun sources were also recorded by 170 temporary land recorders, an array
of 9 ocean-bottom seismometers (OBS's), and two sonobuoys.

The equipment and procedures used to acquire the multichannel seismic-reflection
and other geophysical data aboard the Ewing, data reduction processes and
near-trace constant offset seismic sections of the aquired profiles are
