Station Information
Strong Motion Stations from California Geological Survey
Background
The California Geological Survey operates over 600 stations throughout California. CGS is now sending triggered strong motion waveforms to the SCEDC when they exceed .01g in peak ground acceleration. If these waveforms can be associated with a SCSN detected earthquake, the SCEDC then archives the waveforms and associates those waveforms with that event.
Dataset Description
The data are 3 component acceleration waveforms, mostly 100 sps.
